GENERAL DIRECTOR OF AGROECOLOGICAL TRANSITION, SECRETARIAT OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT (SADER)
Eng. Nayeli Eneyda Martínez Hernández, an engineer in Agroecology from the Autonomous University of Chapingo, has more than 15 years of professional experience in rural development and agroecological transition in the sector. She has assisted in the establishment of coffee producer cooperatives in the state of Veracruz. In 2009, she collaborated with REDCAFES, A. C., providing certification services to producer organizations in Oaxaca, Veracruz, Chiapas and Guerrero.
In 2011, she participated as an evaluator of rural development agencies in the corn chain in the Sierra Norte and Cañada in the state of Oaxaca. From 2015 to 2018, she designed and executed the University Outreach Extension Program for the Common Good at the Autonomous University of Chapingo. From 2019 to 2023, she was Deputy Director at the Undersecretariat of Food Self-Sufficiency of the Ministry of Agriculture. Currently, she heads the Technical Support Strategy in the Reaping Sovereignty Program.
