DEPUTY DIRECTOR IN THE AMERICAS DIVISION OF AGRICULTURE CANADA’S INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS BRANCH
Mélanie has over 23 years of experience with the Federal government, occupying various functions in the areas of trade policy, international business development and stakeholders’ engagement. She has spent most of her career working in the agriculture sector, including as team lead guiding the establishment and operationalization of Canada’s first Indo-Pacific agriculture and agri-food Office, and serving has as a Trade Commissioner at the Embassy of Canada in Mexico. Mélanie has also worked in the national security field, as manager of the strategic policy team. She holds an Honours Bachelors of Commerce with a major in International Management and a minor in Marketing from the University of Ottawa.
