Luis Martinez Senties is a native of Mexico City. Since 2013 he is Counselor for Agricultural Affairs at the Embassy of Mexico in Washington, D.C. where he provides technical support on USMCA, maintain constant outreach with Members of the U.S. Congress and national and regional farm associations, and conduct cooperation activities in multilateral for a. Prior to his current position, in 2006 he was appointed Agricultural Attaché at the Mission of Mexico to the European Union in Brussels, advocating for Mexico’s agricultural interests in E.U. Member countries, Russian Federation and Turkey. Since 1999, Mr. Martinez has been an official for the Ministry of Agriculture of Mexico (SADER) at different Directorate level positions, heading national marketing and financing scheme programs for grains and pulses, covering agricultural policy and markets, and most recently international trade. Mr. Martinez has also represented Mexico in multilateral organizations related to food and agriculture cooperation, such as the OECD, WB, WTO, FAO, OIE, UNECE and Codex Alimentarius. Luis Martinez Senties is an Agribusiness and Management alumna from Tarleton State University.
